About

Hi! I’m Tory, and I live in San Francisco.

The Untz and the Indie was born as The Untz and the Emo back in January of 2011. Since then it has gone through a name change (some people didn’t get that the ’emo’ wasn’t supposed to be taken literarily, so eventually there was a minor rebranding) and contributor changes, but throughout it all it has always been my labor of love, sharing what I love.

When I am not untzing and indi-ing I work for a travel company and spend lots of time with Charlie the dog and my husband Tom.

    Hi, you!
I was randomly googling a song I heard on TV the other day, and surprisingly the only hit I got was your blog.
Can’t complain though, as I found myself reading through what I think was your whole blog..
And when I didn’t find the lyrics/song I was looking for, I started scribbling down the other artists. Thank you! I’ve been desperate for new music, and it was a big relief to finally listen to something new. Phew.
Anyway, “well I was the one who showed you the sky”, recognize?

      Hi Marie,

So glad to hear you like the music on here! I think the song you are looking for is called Easy to Love by the Jezebels. Is that it? What TV show was it on?

Hope this helps, and again thanks for the support 🙂

That’s the song. Thanks! It’s been bugging me for weeks only humming two lines from it. And yeah, it was only a commercial for..mineral water or something.
        But thank you 🙂

    Hey Tory

Thought of you yesterday when I got my TVOTR ticket.

Thanks for the music, I enjoyed it when I can and actually learned about the new Bon Iver here! Thought I would recommend the Rural Alberta Advantage, check it!

    Hope you’re well
